A shocking case of alleged domestic violence has emerged from Chhattisgarh’s Korea district, where a man allegedly assaulted his wife, tied her up, and beat her mercilessly over suspicions of an extramarital affair. He then shaved her head and smeared black soot on her face in an apparent attempt to publicly humiliate her. The woman further alleged that during the assault, her husband forced her to drink urine and made their children urinate on her face. Police have arrested the accused following the victim’s complaint. Woman alleges severe physical abuse and humiliation According to the complaint, the accused tied his wife’s hands and feet with a rope before tearing her clothes, beating her with a shoe, pulling her hair, and repeatedly slapping her. He allegedly cut her hair with scissors, shaved her head, and smeared black paint on her face. The woman further alleged that, at her husband’s insistence, their children were made to slap her. She also claimed that he forced one of the children to make her drink urine before allegedly making her consume his own urine. The entire incident was reportedly recorded on video by their children. In the video, the husband can allegedly be heard accusing his wife of abandoning the family and eloping first with his brother-in-law and later with his nephew. First, see these pictures- Incident took place in Katkona village The incident reportedly occurred in Katkona village in Pandopara under the Patna police station area of Korea district. Following the woman’s complaint, police registered an FIR and arrested the accused, identified as Jitendra Ghasiya, from Surajpur. Marriage and family background According to police and the victim’s statement, Jitendra Ghasiya and the woman, Tara, married in a love marriage around 20 years ago in 2006, when she was approximately 17 years old. The couple has four children. The woman had reportedly been living separately in Pandopara due to ongoing marital disputes and was supporting herself and her children by working in local households. Victim’s account of the incident The victim stated that she had gone to the house of an acquaintance, Ramesh Ghasiya, on June 11, 2026, seeking assistance. On June 14, her husband allegedly tracked her down in Pandopara, verbally abused her, and then carried out the assault. Husband questions wife’s character The accused has denied wrongdoing and instead accused his wife of having relationships with other men, alleging that she had previously eloped with his brother-in-law and nephew before returning. He also claimed that she later left their home, leaving the children behind, and began living with another man in Pandopara. According to reports, the accused works in Raipur. The couple’s eldest son is 18 years old, while their other children are aged 16, 14, and 12. Police action and investigation After the incident, the woman approached the Patna police station and lodged a complaint against her husband. Police initially registered a case under Sections 115(2), 296, 351(2), and 85 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Station House Officer Pramod Pandey said the victim’s initial complaint did not mention being forced to drink urine. However, this allegation later emerged through a viral video and the woman’s subsequent statement. The accused had absconded after the incident but was later arrested from Surajpur, and further investigation is underway.
