Maharashtra’s State Social Justice Minister Sanjay Shirsat belonging to the Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena on Wednesday gave a statement regarding the death of a student when a tree fell on a school bus in Mumbai’s Chembur. In a statement, Sanjay Shirsat said, ‘Falling of trees, lightning strikes are not in anyone’s hands. No one can know beforehand which tree is going to fall.’ His statement was regarding the question of tree audits. The minister said that audits are conducted regularly and the government will make a statement on the accident in the assembly. The municipal corporation has been instructed to take necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future. Actually, on Tuesday in the Chembur area, a nearly 70-year-old Peepal tree by the roadside fell onto a school bus. The bus belonged to Make Force, and students from Universal High School were on board. In the accident, 11-year-old Vihaan Srivastava died.
