In Delhi’s Dwarka, a halwai was tied up and beaten, and an attempt was made to cut his hands with a mixer grinder after he asked for pending payment for a wedding job. According to the police report, 32-year-old Lokesh Gupta had worked at a wedding on April 20 for Ajay Pal. Lokesh also worked as a tent contractor. He had demanded ₹2.5 lakh for his services, out of which around ₹2 lakh was still unpaid. On April 24, when Lokesh went to collect the money, Ajay Pal along with 2–3 associates allegedly caught him, took him to the rooftop by force, and assaulted him. Lokesh suffered serious injuries on both hands and bled heavily. 3 arrested, two minors Police have registered an FIR at Dabri police station in Delhi. Lokesh’s statement has been recorded and 53-year-old Ajay Pal has been arrested. In this case, police have also taken two minors into custody from Ajay’s house. Search for other accused is ongoing.
