Nitin Gadkari arrives in Alwar to inspect Delhi-Mumbai Expressway:Road to Kota spruced up ahead of Union Minister’s visit

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari arrived in Rajasthan on Wednesday afternoon to inspect the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Gadkari is currently interacting with officials at the Pinan Rest Area in Alwar. The Union Minister may also visit the site near Dausa where 8 people were killed in a collision between a bus and a trailer on the expressway. Gadkari is said to be taking the sensitive matter very seriously and may carry out a spot assessment to understand the causes of the accident by reviewing the situation on the ground. Officials spruced up expressway ahead of Gadkari’s visit Ahead of the minister’s visit, officials ensured that no shortcomings were visible on the expressway. Officers of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and contractors worked day and night to improve the road’s condition. Their primary focus was on the Delhi-to-Kota carriageway, as Gadkari is not expected to return by road. As a result, potholes on the opposite carriageway (Kota to Delhi) were reportedly left unrepaired. Inspection from Laban interchange to Dara tunnel Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will jointly inspect the stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway from Laban Interchange to the Dara Tunnel. The Chief Minister will reach Laban Interchange by helicopter, while Om Birla will travel there by road after attending a programme in Khatoli. The three leaders are scheduled to begin the inspection at around 3:30 pm and are expected to reach the Dara Tunnel by around 5:30 pm. At approximately 6:30 pm, they will address a public meeting at Gopalpura, near the expressway.
