Arjun Bijlani on finding a girl for Salman Khan:‘Not just difficult, impossible’; jokes anyone wanting a good life should stay single

TV actor Arjun Bijlani and his wife Neha Swami are appearing on the reality show “Dhamaal with Husband, Wife and Panga Season 2”. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Arjun jokingly said that finding a girl for Salman Khan was not just difficult but impossible. Arjun and Neha also spoke openly about the benefits of being single and the challenges of married life. They shared interesting stories about each other’s strengths, habits, reasons for getting angry and the occasional minor squabbles in their relationship. Their chemistry and sense of humour were also evident during the conversation. Question: After appearing on the show, what did you learn about each other that you had previously overlooked? Arjun: After coming on the show, I realised that Neha picks a lot of fights with me. I did not think she could be such a troublemaker on the show. The funny thing is that she picks a fight and then denies it as well. She did not used to do this before. I think the people at Colors have egged her on, telling her that she just has to pick fights. Neha: Arjun treats me with a lot of love. But I am enjoying having a slightly different kind of banter with him on the show. Perhaps the things that have built up over the years are finding an outlet through this show. Question: Your banter with each other seems very genuine. Is the atmosphere at home the same? Arjun: Yes, we have the same kind of banter between us. None of it is staged. Neha is fully involved in getting into arguments with me. The things she says and her manner make it seem as though she is genuinely arguing with me. Neha: We do not fight; we joke and have fun. Our banter is very sweet. It is not as though I ask Arjun after the shoot, “Why did you say that?” We both take it in good humour. Question: Name three qualities in each other that you are still smitten with. Neha: Arjun is very good at surprising me. Sometimes, when I am asleep, he leaves flowers for me. Sometimes he orders my favourite food. At other times, he plans a visit to a place we have wanted to go to for a long time. He is always doing something or the other. When I tell my friends what Arjun has done for me, they say how lovely he is and wish they could find a partner like that too. I tell them that I have found mine. Arjun really is very special. Arjun: I feel that Neha keeps the atmosphere at home very cheerful, especially when she is in a good mood. Another quality of hers is that she takes very good care of the entire family. She calls my mother, spends time with her and looks after all her needs, big and small. Often, she tells my mother things before telling me, and then my mother scolds me. But I like this habit of Neha’s. It is very important to keep the family together. Besides, Neha keeps surprising me as well. Once, when I returned home from a shoot, she was standing there wearing a sari and holding a puja thali. She was joking with me. I feel that the desire to surprise each other should always remain in a relationship. Question: What habit of each other would you like to change? Arjun: Neha speaks very loudly. Her voice makes my ears hurt. She does not speak softly. Neha: I feel that if I speak softly, they will not be able to hear me at all. That is why I have to speak loudly. The other habit I want to change is the habit of falling asleep with the television on at night. When I turn off the television while half-asleep, it wakes them up. Then they ask why I turned off the television. I want to break this habit at all costs. Even if I have to fast for 10 days, I will do so to get rid of this habit. Question: Has there ever been a time during the show when something the other person said made you feel that you would have to discuss it after returning home? Neha: Nothing like that has happened so far. Arjun: We have been together for so many years that we know almost everything about each other. There is nothing we need to hide from each other. Neha: We know each other’s phone passwords too. Many people ask whether we know each other’s phone passwords. I think this would be a big deal for people, but it is completely normal for us. Question: Do you feel jealous when you see Arjun romancing other beautiful actresses on screen? Neha: No, I have never felt jealous. Arjun: If you want to live a good life, stay single. Jokes aside, I feel that love should always remain in a relationship. At the same time, respect for each other is also very important. In my view, respect is particularly important for men, while love is particularly important for women. However, both partners should receive love and respect in a relationship. Question: You both also met Bhaijaan. What was your experience with him? Answer/Arjun: Bhaijaan is a very fun person. He has gained far more experience in life than we have. I think he is happy in his life, and I am happy in mine. After living together for so many years, I do not think I can live without Neha. On the other hand, someone who has been alone for a long time might wonder how to live with someone else now. Everyone’s life and circumstances are different. Question: If you had to choose a girl for Bhaijaan, what qualities would you look for in her? Arjun: I do not know much about his preferences or the conditions he has set. But in my view, she should be someone who loves him deeply and gives him just as much freedom. However, that is only my assumption. In any case, finding a girl for Bhaijaan is not just difficult-it is impossible. Neha: I do not know what he is looking for. Question: Who is your favourite celebrity couple in Bollywood? Answer/Neha: I like the pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. Arjun: My favourite couple is Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. I also really like the pairing of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza.
