During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Netherlands, an agreement was reached to bring back 11th-century historical Chola copper plate inscriptions to India. These nearly 1,000-year-old Tamil documents contain historical information related to the Chola Empire. Under the agreement, the Chola copper plates from the 11th century will soon be returned to India. The collection includes 21 large and 3 small copper plates. Most of the inscriptions are written in the Tamil language. PM Modi said that these plates record information related to King Rajendra Chola I and his father, King Rajaraja Chola I. Copper plates are sheets made of copper on which important information was recorded in ancient times. According to experts, these documents were taken abroad during the 19th century when European countries were engaged in trade and research in India and other parts of Asia. Agreement also between Tata Electronics and ASML At an event organized by Tata in The Hague, an agreement was also signed between Electronics and Dutch company ASML. This deal is to enhance cooperation in the field of semiconductor and chip technology. ASML is among the world’s leading chip machine manufacturing companies, while Tata Electronics is increasing investment in the semiconductor sector in India. This meeting took place at the royal palace ‘Palace Huis ten Bosch’. During the meeting, discussions were held on further strengthening relations between India and the Netherlands. Both sides spoke about expanding cooperation in areas such as education, technology, semiconductors, digital technology, water management, and green energy. The King and Queen of the Netherlands also hosted a dinner in honor of Prime Minister Modi. Modi recalled the King and Queen’s visit to India in 2019, saying that the tour had given new strength to bilateral relations. PM Modi thanked the Netherlands government for their hospitality. India is best place to invest now: PM Modi In a CEO roundtable meeting held in The Hague, Netherlands, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is currently the best time and place for investment and business. He said that due to reforms in tax system, labour laws, and government processes, manufacturing in India has become cheaper and easier. Narendra Modi also said that electronics, which was earlier a major import sector, has now become a strong export sector for India. He added that India and the Netherlands will work more closely in areas like green hydrogen, technology, and innovation in the future. More than 300 Dutch companies are operating in India Prime Minister Modi stated that the FTA (Free Trade Agreement) signed between India and the European Union will open new opportunities for both sides. Additionally, both countries are working towards further strengthening their partnership. PM Modi appealed to Dutch companies to invest more in India. He said that more than 300 Dutch companies are already operating in India and India is becoming a rapidly growing economy.
