On the very first day of Kedarnath’s gates opening, a devotee from Vadodara died of a heart attack. After the death, the family members had to wander for hours to take the body down. The son of the deceased has leveled serious allegations of negligence against the administration and the medical team. Tour operator Hemantbhai from Vadodara (Trimurti Tours Adventures) had come for darshan with his parents. He said- My father had a heart attack and he fell. I called 100, the medical team said they would come in 5-10 minutes, but no one arrived for an hour and a half. Out of helplessness, I took my father to the hospital on a ‘pitthu’ (porter’s back), where he was declared dead. The entire family went on a Kedarnath and Badrinath tour on April 19. It’s a tour of 70 people. Hemantbhai has gone on the tour with his wife and parents. During this, Hemantbhai’s father passed away. It’s a 13-day journey. The journey will continue, and Hemantbhai will return to Vadodara with his family. ‘Dead body lay in the sun for 2 hours’ Ankur further said, “My father’s body lay on the helipad in the sun for 2 hours. The administration says to take it on foot. It will take 5-6 hours to take it on foot, what will be the condition of the body?” If the CM can get a helicopter for coming and going, then why not for bringing down the body of a deceased devotee? DM sir is saying to talk to DGCA. Last year, permission was granted to bring down the body, so why were the rules suddenly changed this year? Shouldn’t there be any arrangement for the deceased? Son said – they are asking for Rs 16,000 Ankur told Bhaskar that the Rudraprayag administration is not providing any help. On top of that, money is being demanded. Rudraprayag’s DM Vishal Mishra gave an ambulance number, which is asking for 16,000 rupees to drop them off at Delhi airport. Currently, they are in Rudraprayag hospital. UCADA said, ‘Helicopter service was provided’ UCADA CEO says that for any kind of medical facility during the journey, the local administration is fully responsible and all things are made available at their level. He said that regarding the family waiting for many hours at Kedarnath helipad, no information was given to the control room earlier that there was such a case at the helipad. As soon as Director General Banshidhar Tiwari informed him by phone at around 12 PM, helicopter service was made available within 10 to 15 minutes, and the body of the elderly person was brought down. On the very first day of Uttarakhand’s Char Dham Yatra, two devotees died, and now one more devotee has died due to a heart attack. On the first day of the Char Dham Yatra, two deaths occurred on the Yamunotri Dham route in Uttarkashi district. A woman who came on a trip with her husband from Madhya Pradesh died after falling from a horse. Meanwhile, an elderly devotee from Maharashtra suddenly fell ill during the foot pilgrimage. He experienced severe difficulty breathing while climbing. With the help of family members and the administration, he was immediately taken to the hospital located in Jankichatti, but doctors could not save him.
