The uncut version of the Ranveer Singh-starrer film ‘Dhurandhar’, titled ‘Dhurandhar Raw and Unseen’, is set to stream from tomorrow, May 22, on OTT platforms Netflix and JioHotstar. Netflix and JioHotstar shared this information by posting on social media on Wednesday. The ‘Dhurandhar Raw and Unseen’ version will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. The film was released in cinemas on December 5 last year, and subsequently, it was released on Netflix on January 30. The makers have also announced the release date of the second part of the film, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge Raw and Unseen’. This part will premiere on June 4 at 7 PM. The new version of the film is coming at a time when a legal dispute is ongoing in the Delhi High Court regarding its second part. Head Constable Deepak Kumar of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has filed a public interest litigation (PIL) in the court. The petition alleges that the film shows confidential information related to army operations, which could endanger the country’s security and integrity. While hearing this case, the Delhi High Court said that even if the film is fictional, the issues raised by a security personnel cannot be ignored. The Court has asked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Central Government and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to investigate these allegations. The Court has directed that it be investigated whether the film has violated the Official Secrets Act.
