Devosmita Paul, 45, an Assistant Professor at Shivaji College, Delhi University, was found dead in her flat on Thursday. She lived alone in a flat in Vasundhara Enclave, East Delhi. Her sister, Devarati Paul, informed the police after Devosmita failed to answer her phone calls throughout the morning. When she arrived at the flat, she found the door locked from the outside. She broke the lock and entered the flat, where she discovered her sister’s body. Flat photographed and videographed, CCTV footage under investigation After receiving the information, police, along with crime scene and forensic teams, reached the flat. The entire premises were photographed and videotaped. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the exact cause of death will be known once the report is received. Police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage as part of the investigation. On Friday, officials said that no leads regarding the suspected killer had been found so far. Devosmita Paul married in 2017 According to police, Devosmita Paul’s personal life had been under strain for some time. She married in 2017, but the relationship was reportedly troubled from the beginning. The couple separated in 2022 following ongoing domestic disputes. Since then, Devosmita had been living separately in Delhi, while her husband has been residing in Bengaluru.
