US President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video on his social media platform Truth Social on Saturday, 6 June, in which he is seen riding a motorbike on the streets of India. In the one-minute video, Trump appears in multiple avatars. He is shown riding a camel in a desert, paragliding, and sitting on a lion. In another scene, he is seen planting the American flag on the Moon while wearing a spacesuit. His face also appears on a pizza, a bus, roadside hoardings, the Northern Lights, and even Mount Rushmore. A self-praising song plays throughout the video, with lyrics such as “Everyone loves Donald Trump” and “Thank you President Trump” heard repeatedly. The video mentions everything from India to China The song in the video claims that people across different parts of the world admire Trump. Its lyrics state that everyone in Mexico, the West Asia, China and India likes him. Although this video was only one minute long, the word ‘Trump’ was used 45 times and ‘Donald’ 29 times. According to media reports, the song titled ‘Everybody Loves Donald Trump’ was created by a user known as ‘ac132’ on Truth Social. At the end of the video, credit for the song is attributed to Anthony Constantino. Constantino is a Trump-backed Republican candidate from New York. Following the video’s circulation, he said he was proud that President Trump had shared his song. Soon after the video surfaced, reactions poured in on social media. While some users described it as humorous, others criticised it as self-promotional content. One user even remarked that Trump appeared like a comic book character in the video. Trump has shared AI images before This is not the first time Trump has shared AI-generated content. A few days ago, he showed himself in the style of James Bond with the caption ‘Trump 007’. Before that, he had also shared a picture calling himself the ‘Greatest Attraction’. Last month, Trump posted an AI-generated photo, in which he was depicted as Jesus. That post caused a lot of controversy. Later, the post was removed, but Trump did not apologize. He clarified, saying that he thought he looked like a doctor in the picture. Trump has said many times before that he considers social media a more important medium for expressing his views than traditional media. This is why almost every one of his posts on Truth Social becomes part of political and social media debate within a short time. Also shared AI images related to the Iran war Since the beginning of the Iran war, Trump has also posted several AI-generated images related to military power on Truth Social. These showed the Iranian navy in a destroyed state. In one picture, a large number of warships were seen sinking in the sea, while other pictures showed American military power in a very aggressive manner. Through these pictures, Trump claimed that Iran’s army had weakened and America was gaining an advantage in strategic areas like the Strait of Hormuz. However, there was no official confirmation of these pictures and they were considered AI-generated visual content. Many people on social media called it political propaganda and fear-mongering content, while Trump supporters linked it to his strong leadership image. Experts say attempt underway to build digital personality cult For some time now, Donald Trump has been using AI-generated content as a key tool in his political branding strategy. Political experts suggest this reflects an attempt to build a “digital personality cult”, where a leader is portrayed as exceptional, larger-than-life and all-powerful. In this context, a political or public figure is presented through social media and digital platforms in an idealised, almost mythical or god-like image, encouraging followers to support them emotionally rather than critically. Trump’s approach differs from traditional political campaigning, as it blends meme culture, viral videos and AI-generated visuals. The objective, analysts say, is not only to energise supporters but also to ensure constant visibility and engagement across social media platforms. Critics argue that such AI-driven content can blur the line between reality and fiction, increasing the risk of misinformation and public confusion.
