The recently launched Netflix reality show Lock Upp 2 has landed in controversy after contestants raised concerns over the quality of food being served inside the house. Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, broke down in tears and claimed that the soup provided to them “tasted like crow’s urine.” She also said she had gone hungry despite being diabetic. In the latest episode, several contestants protested after they were unable to get enough food because of the show’s limited points-based ration system. Contestants questioned how even those who needed to take regular medication were expected to manage without proper meals. Responding to the complaints, host Riteish Deshmukh said that soup had been arranged for contestants who needed to take medicines. However, by then, Sunita had already criticised the soup, saying it was impossible to drink. The food issue wasn’t limited to Sunita. Other contestants, including Ram Kapoor, also expressed their dissatisfaction and reportedly spent a night without eating as part of the protest over the inadequate food arrangements inside the house. Sunita told host Riteish Deshmukh, ‘Yesterday my food didn’t arrive. I slept on an empty stomach and I have diabetes.’ To this, Riteish argued, ‘You had snacks at 8 PM, and two hours later, soup was also sent for you. According to the nutritionist present here, you were given food as per your medicines.’ Sunita then said, ‘I am used to eating food, otherwise I face psychological problems, I start feeling strange. My body trembles.’ Sunita demanded to leave the show due to lack of food When the host clarified about the food on the show, Sunita demanded to leave the show. She told the host that she has been hurt a lot, she doesn’t want to play the game further and wants to go out.
