Gangster shot dead at Hisar court:Attackers fired 14 rounds; had 31 cases, including murder of MLA’s PA nephew

Gangster Vinod Panu aka ‘Kana’ was shot dead in broad daylight at a court in Hisar, Haryana, on Thursday (20 Aug). Kana had arrived at the court for a hearing when two men on a motorcycle allegedly opened fire at him as he entered through the court gate. The incident took place at around 2 pm. The assailants fired 14 rounds, 12 directly at Kana and two in the air. Another person was also reportedly injured in the firing. According to preliminary information, 31 criminal cases were registered against Kana. These reportedly included the murder of Sanjay, aka ‘Bittu’, the nephew of Lalit Sharma, PA of MLA Savitri Jindal. Hisar ASP Mayank Mudgil said, “One of the alleged attackers has been apprehended.
