Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Meditation Temple at the Art of Living International Center in Bengaluru on Sunday. This event was organised to mark the completion of 45 years of Art of Living and the 70th birthday of founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. During this occasion, 9 new service projects related to education, women empowerment, environment, tribal welfare, health and digital literacy were launched. Modi said – Meditation Temple will become a center of peace Prime Minister Modi said that the new Meditation Temple will become a major center of peace and tranquility for coming generations. Appreciating the 45 years of work by Art of Living, he said that every effort made with a spirit of service becomes successful. PM Modi said that for a developed India, there is a need for mentally peaceful and socially responsible youth. Yoga, meditation and mental health have an important role in nation building. In the program, PM Modi told Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar that I am yours and wherever I am, I am there because of you. The people present applauded this. Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that confidence has increased in the country in the last few years. India has become stronger at the global level. He said that after the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the country appears cleaner and more organized. Organization planted 90 lakh saplings, will run programs in 550 jails Art of Living stated that under Mission Green Earth, more than 90 lakh saplings have been planted in 19 states over the past year. The organisation is now working with a target to plant 45 lakh Moringa saplings and 87,500 sacred trees. The organisation also informed that under the prison reform program, 1,000 programs will be conducted in 550 jails. Meanwhile, thousands of people will be trained through women and youth leadership programs.
