PM interacts with participants of Vikasit Vibrant Village programme:400 youths return after visiting India’s 74 ‘first villages’; learn about culture of Uttarakhand, Himachal, Ladakh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is interacting with participants of the ‘Vikasit Vibrant Village Programme’ 2026 via video conferencing on July 26 at 4:30 PM. These 400 youth have returned after visiting 74 villages located in India’s border areas. The purpose of this event is to connect villages situated in border areas with the mainstream of development so that youth can understand the social, cultural, and strategic importance of areas adjacent to India’s international borders. This programme was organised through My Bharat. PM Modi had said that villages situated in the country’s border areas are not the last but the first villages. 74 vibrant villages from Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand included This year’s developed Vibrant Village event was conducted in two phases from June 4 to June 30. Under this, 74 vibrant border villages from Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand were included. More than 400 youth from all states and union territories across the country were selected through a national-level online quiz. More than three lakh people had participated in it
