In the high-level review meeting of My Bharat, the Chief Minister stressed on connecting the youth with nation building. With the resolve of ‘Empowered Youth-Empowered Chhattisgarh’, a strong youth network will be created from village to state level. Instructions to provide new opportunities for talent and leadership to the youth of Bastar by connecting them with My Bharat. Over 2.65 crore youth across the country have joined My Bharat, with over 6.60 lakh registered in Chhattisgarh. India is one of the youngest countries in the world and the energy, talent, creativity and innovative capacity of the youth is the biggest strength for building a developed India. To realise the resolve of a developed Chhattisgarh along with a developed India, the youth will have to be extensively involved in the nation-building process by providing them opportunities as per their interest and capability. By connecting the youth with social and community activities, their leadership ability, spirit of service, social responsibility and sense of dedication towards the nation will be strengthened. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said this while addressing the state level review meeting of ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ (My Bharat) held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan today. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, while reviewing the activities of My Bharat in detail in the meeting, gave instructions to connect maximum number of youth of the state with this platform and ensure their active role in the activities of various departments. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, every youth of the country should join the mainstream of development and play their role in nation-building. To this end, a comprehensive platform like “My Young India” has been launched. The Prime Minister takes special interest in the thoughts, aspirations, and activities of youth and considers youth power a key foundation of the resolve for a developed India. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today’s youth is connected to the entire world through technology and digital media. They have a broad outlook, the capacity for innovation, and can rapidly adapt to change. To channel this energy into positive, nationally beneficial work, it is essential to provide them with the right direction, opportunities, and platforms. In the years to come, these youth will lead the country and the state. Therefore, systematic efforts should be made now to develop their leadership skills and connect them with social concerns. *Youth should get opportunities for service and leadership in every field* Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized the need to enhance the role of youth in various fields, including health, sanitation, education, sports, environmental protection, civic sense, history, tourism, skill development, agriculture, technical education, disaster management, and social welfare. He said that opportunities should be provided through My Bharat in areas where the youth’s contribution can be useful. This will provide youth with practical experience, while also better utilizing their energy and creativity for the benefit of society and the state. In keeping with the spirit of “Strong Youth, Strong Chhattisgarh,” Chief Minister Shri Sai directed the development of strong coordination and youth networks from the village to the state level. He stated that recognizing youth talent, providing them opportunities, and providing leadership platforms are the government’s priorities. Activities related to digital detox, service, social engagement, and community responsibility should also be encouraged. *More than 2.65 crore youth across the country have joined My Bharat* The meeting was informed that “My Young India” is a digital and physical platform connecting youth with government, society, and nation-building activities. It was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 31, 2023. Currently, more than 26.5 million youth across the country are registered on the My India platform. In Chhattisgarh, more than 660,000 youth have joined the platform. My Bharat is being developed as a single-window digital platform between youth and the government, providing a one-stop shop for youth information on various activities and opportunities related to volunteerism, experiential learning, skills, leadership, and nation-building. The My Bharat app has also been developed for youth convenience. *Experiential programs are providing practical opportunities to youth* It was informed at the meeting that through more than 24,900 ELPs (Experiential Learning Programs) across the country, 1.21 lakh youth have had the opportunity to engage with various government activities and gain practical experience. In Chhattisgarh, more than 2,389 youth have been connected through 233 ELPs. Similarly, more than 1 million youth have been connected to service activities through over 1.53 lakh volunteer opportunities across the country. In Chhattisgarh, more than 23,900 youth have participated in various activities through 5,778 volunteer opportunities. More than 6.5 million youth across the country have also been connected through quiz modules to increase awareness of central government schemes and programs. *Youth network will be created from village to state* The meeting was informed that the organizational structure of My Youth India includes a headquarters, offices in 36 states and union territories, district offices, youth clubs, and My India volunteers. Through this network, youth from the village level to the state level are being connected to various activities and opportunities. Chief Minister Shri Sai placed special emphasis on engaging youth in non-political, social, and creative activities. He said that by identifying their interests and talents, they should be provided with opportunities that will develop their personality and leadership skills, while also strengthening their sense of responsibility to society. *Special emphasis on Developed Chhattisgarh Young Leaders Dialogue* Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai described the Vikasit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue as an important initiative to develop leadership skills among youth. The meeting was informed that more than 3 million participants took part in the dialogue in 2025. A multi-tiered selection process has been adopted to ensure fair, transparent, and merit-based selection of young leaders. The meeting also discussed in detail the planning of the “Develop Chhattisgarh Young Leaders Dialogue” in Chhattisgarh. Through this, emphasis was placed on increasing the role of youth in various sectors, including sports, health, panchayat and rural development, technical education and skill development, social welfare, urban administration, disaster management, tourism, and agriculture. Information about the efforts to connect the youth with nation building and leadership through activities like Vikasit Bharat Youth Parliament, Vikasit Vibrant Village Programme, Vikasit Bharat Yuva Connect, Youth Icon, Vikasit Bharat Padyatra, Sardar@150 Padyatra and ‘Drug Free Youth for Vikasit Bharat’ was also given in the meeting. *New doors of opportunities open for the youth of Bastar* Chief Minister Shri Sai placed special emphasis on engaging the youth of Bastar extensively with the activities of My India. He stated that Bastar is leaving behind the era of Naxalite violence and fear and moving forward in a new direction of peace, trust, and development. At this time, it is crucial to connect Bastar’s youth with nation-building activities. He said that new opportunities are opening up for young people who have long been excluded from mainstream development due to circumstances. Joining My Bharat will boost their confidence, recognize their talents, and provide them with opportunities to advance according to their potential. The Chief Minister said that due to the efforts of the double-engine government, development and opportunities are reaching remote areas of Bastar. In the past two years, events like the Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum have provided a platform for a large number of youth to showcase their sporting talent, art, and culture. Similarly, through My Bharat, Bastar youth should be given opportunities to advance and lead in various fields. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that it is our priority to make the youth of Bastar active partners in the development of Chhattisgarh and the country by giving them proper opportunities to showcase their talent and potential. During the meeting, a photograph of tribal art created by My Bharat volunteer Aditi was presented to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. The Chief Minister praised her creative talent.
