The makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana unveiled a new poster on the first day of Navratri, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravan. They also announced the release date for the film’s first instalment. Ramayana Part 1 will hit cinemas worldwide on November 5, with advance bookings set to open on Dussehra. Poster released on Navratri with the words: ‘This is the beginning of the era of Ram’ Sharing the poster on the film’s official social media handle, the makers wrote that a new era was beginning on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. They gave the tagline, “This is the beginning of the era of Ram.” Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey can be seen in their respective roles in the foreground of the released poster, while Yash appears as Ravana in the background. The poster offers a glimpse of the characters’ costumes and the elaborate sets. To be released in five languages and IMAX format Ramayana is being developed as one of the biggest adaptation projects in Indian cinema. The film will be released in five languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The makers are planning to present the film to audiences in premium formats such as IMAX. The first part of the film will be released on 5 November, while its second part, Ramayana Part 2, will be brought to cinemas during Diwali 2027. Ramayana being made on a ₹4,000 crore budget This film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will be released in two parts. The mythological film is being made on a budget of approximately ₹4,000 crore. Its music is being composed jointly by Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman. DNEG is delivering Hollywood-level work Namit Malhotra’s company Prime Focus is producing this film. In the entertainment industry, it works on visual effects (VFX), animation, post-production and content creation. Namit Malhotra is producing this Ramayana film jointly with actor Yash’s company Monster Mind Creations and DNEG. DNEG is handling the visual effects for the film. Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will play Mata Sita and Yash will play Ravana. Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Arun Govil as Dasharath, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha.
