Shama Mohamed slams user calling Dhurandhar propaganda:Says, ‘Muslims are not shown negatively in the film’

Congress Party’s national spokesperson Shama Mohamed posted on social media praising the film Dhurandhar. She also replied to a user, saying that the film does not portray Muslims negatively, but rather Pakistanis. In fact, Shama Mohamed wrote on her official X account that she recently watched the film Dhurandhar and really liked its direction, script, and acting. She praised actor Ranveer Singh’s acting and lauded director Aditya Dhar, saying that the way old Hindi songs were connected to the scenes in the film was fantastic. User called the film a propaganda movie Commenting on Shama’s post, a user said, “How can you post this? Muslims have been wrongly portrayed in this propaganda film. You should be ashamed.” To this, Shama Mohamed replied, “Muslims have not been wrongly portrayed in this film, but Pakistanis have been. It is wrong to equate the two. People like you tarnish the image of Muslims in India. If you have so much problem with India, you can take Pakistani citizenship.” Dhurandhar had earned ₹1,307 crore Dhurandhar was globally released on December 5, 2025. The film featured Ranveer Singh along with Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The film was directed by Aditya Dhar. According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar performed brilliantly at the Indian and international box office, earning approximately ₹1,307 crore worldwide. In India, the film’s gross collection was ₹1,005.85 crore, while the net collection was approximately ₹840 crore. The film also received a tremendous response in foreign markets. Overseas, it earned approximately ₹299.5 crore. It also broke the record of Baahubali 2 by earning over ₹193.06 crore in the USA and Canada. In India, the film’s total net collection has reached ₹1,141 crore and the total gross collection ₹1,365 crore. The film has earned ₹426 crore from international markets so far.
