According to Vicky Lalwani, Amitabh Bachchan has been struggling with stomach-related problems for a long time. His health is not good- Director Vivek Sharma Dainik Bhaskar contacted director Vivek Sharma to confirm the news, and he said, ‘His health is very bad. I had asked for time to meet him two weeks ago, and he said that permission is not available at the moment. So it was confirmed that either he is in the hospital or under doctors’ supervision. I think his health is quite bad.’ Apart from this, in conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, a source close to the family says that Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted for a routine checkup. It was difficult to survive even 3-4 hours, Amitabh endured that pain for 4 days On July 26, 1982, Amitabh Bachchan was shooting an action sequence for the film Coolie. As per the shot’s requirement, Puneet Issar had to punch Amitabh and he had to fall onto a table. This was supposed to be done by a body double, but Amitabh shot it himself for perfection. The punch landed hard, causing a corner of the table to hit Amitabh’s stomach. There was no bleeding, but Big B was in severe pain. When he went to the hospital, the doctors couldn’t understand the exact cause. Big B spent two days on painkillers, but when the pain didn’t stop, he was admitted to St. Philomena Hospital in Bangalore. Even doctors had given up X-ray was done but still the exact cause could not be determined. Many tests were conducted, but when the injury itself could not be detected, how could treatment be given. On the third day when the pain became unbearable, doctors did another X-ray and examined it carefully. They saw that gas was visible below the diaphragm in the X-ray, which was a sign of leakage. Due to the injury, Amitabh’s intestines had ruptured and due to not getting treatment at the right time, infection had spread. On the fourth day, renowned surgeon H.S. Bhatia examined Amitabh’s case and immediately suggested an operation. Before the operation, Amitabh got a fever of 102 and his heartbeat increased from 72 to 180. When the operation was performed, it was found that the intestines had ruptured from inside. In such a condition, surviving for 3-4 hours was difficult, but he had been struggling for 4 days. On the fourth day, Big B went into a coma. Two operations were performed and he was kept in the hospital for two months. Big B was already battling asthma, liver problems and pneumonia Even before the accident, Amitabh Bachchan had liver problems and he was also asthmatic. The very next day after the operation, he developed pneumonia which worsened his condition. After treatment in Bangalore, he was brought to Mumbai by airbus. He was shifted to Breach Candy Hospital using a crane. On August 8, he underwent another operation. There was a crowd of his well-wishers outside the hospital 24 hours a day. Across the country, prayers were being offered in some places while yagnas were being performed in others. Jaya Bachchan herself had gone to Siddhivinayak for Amitabh’s well-being, but when she reached there, she saw that many people were already performing puja there for Big B. People’s prayers worked and he had come out of danger.
