Actor Sonu Sood has criticised Kangana Ranaut’s recent remarks about young people participating in student protests. Kangana had referred to the protesting Gen-Z students as the “Gutter Generation.” Reacting to her statement, Sonu said that making such comments is “very shameful.” Speaking to the media, Sonu said that it is the youth who make actors into stars and help them achieve success. He urged celebrities to choose their words carefully and added that the public should always be respected because “the public is another form of God.” ‘Think Before You Speak’ During the interaction, Sonu said he had not heard Kangana’s full statement but believed such remarks should be avoided. He said, “These are the youth who make artists and help them reach where they are today. As long as they stand with you, you will continue to move forward.” He added that without the support of the people, sustaining success becomes difficult. Referring to the protesters as the “Gutter Generation,” she alleged that many of them glorify alcohol, drugs, and casual relationships while depending on their parents for financial support. Kangana also said that true freedom is earned through hard work and responsibility, and that demanding freedom without taking responsibility is not the right approach. Kangana had written on media, The most shocking thing is the behavior of young Hindu women. They want to imitate the lives of independent and career-oriented women, but they don’t want to earn that freedom. Women who are truly independent make rebellious decisions, express frank opinions, choose careers outside of tradition, and take responsibility for all their decisions themselves, because they live life on their own terms. They don’t do all this at the expense of their parents or family. This is the new generation of so-called Western-minded Indian women, whom I call ‘Generation Gutter’. She further wrote, Some of them have nothing to give to society. They are not good at studies, and their thinking is so ugly and their mentality so corrupt that they cannot even become good homemakers. Yet, they openly display their so-called freedom to do drugs, drink alcohol, or have physical relationships with many people. They shamelessly depend on their parents’ earnings and keep demanding to live an independent life without actually being self-reliant. A humble reminder: an independent life has to be earned. If you try to live an independent life without taking responsibility, then you are just a distorted personality – ‘gutter trash’. Additionally, Kangana wrote in another Instagram story, Protesters are being beaten and abused on the streets by common people because of their dirty and insulting reels. They should understand that when you speak, you also have to listen. If you damage public property, the same public will also harm you. If you have a problem with the country and its leadership and have publicly used a lot of foul language, then now listen to those who love this country and brought this government to power with the strength of their votes.
