Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton starred as the Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by six wickets in match 47 of IPL 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 4 May. This was MI’s third win of the season and the team remained alive in the playoff race. Chasing 229 to win, MI got past the finish line in 18.4 overs, registering their highest chase. On the other hand, this was the sixth consecutive loss and seventh overall defeat of the season for the Lucknow Super Giants. LSG remained rooted to the bottom of the IPL 2026 points table.
